"Turu Chargers" Enter Carbon Emissions Market Through 15,000 Electric Vehicle Chargers Nationwide
[M Today Online Team] Humax Mobility, a comprehensive mobility platform company, enters the 'carbon emission right' sales market through the operation of the group's electric vehicle charging service.
Humax Mobility collects charging data with electric vehicle charging service 'Tru Charger' built across the country. Carbon credits secured by carbon reduction performance verification by calculating and monitoring reduction amounts with Project Team ATR, an international carbon reduction project development and implementation company, will be traded through Verra, a global voluntary carbon emission issuance agency.
Through carbon reduction simulations analyzed with ATR, Humax Mobility expects to reduce greenhouse gases by more than 400,000 tons by 2028, based on an average annual charge of 80,000 ㎿h (megawatt hours). According to national greenhouse gas statistics, annual greenhouse gas emissions per person are 12.7 tons (as of 2020), reducing greenhouse gases generated by 31,000 people a year.
Turu Charger's eco-friendly ESS fusion electric vehicle charging station is a method of directly charging an electric vehicle after storing electricity generated by solar energy in an energy storage device. Humax Mobility is significant as the first case of carbon reduction in Korea that produces renewable energy, reduces carbon, and even secures carbon credits by operating electric vehicle chargers.
TuLu Charger, operated by Humax EV, a subsidiary of Humax Mobility, plans to secure carbon emission rights through the "Eco-friendly ESS (Energy Storage Device) Convergence Electric Vehicle Charging Station" built on Jeju Island as the No. 1 industrial regulation special industry and about 15,000 electric vehicle chargers nationwide.
